New taxing system in Bulgaria

This week, until the 1^st of March, the drivers may have to wait longer at the Bulgarian borders.

Starting with the 1^st of March, the Bulgarian authorities will launch the e-TOLL road taxing system based on the traveled distance (in km) for buses and trucks with a mass that exceeds 3,5 tons.

Starting with the 24^th of February, until the 29^th, only Bulgarian electronic vignettes, with a one-day validity, will be available for purchasing.

Therefore, we recommend you to take into consideration the possibility of a considerable increase in waiting times when crossing the border to Bulgaria, especially for buses and trucks with a mass that exceeds 3,5 tons.
